9.31.6.4 — Fuel-Burning Heaters

(1) Fuel-burning service water heaters shall be connected to a chimney flue conforming to Section 9.21.

chimney

means a shaft that is primarily vertical and that encloses at least one flue for conducting flue gases to the outdoors.

flue

means an enclosed passageway for conveying flue gases.

service water heater

means a device for heating water for plumbing services.
