9.5.7.4 — Areas of Other Sleeping Rooms

(1) Sleeping rooms other than in dwelling units shall have an area not less than 7 m² per person for single occupancy and 4.6 m² per person for multiple occupancy.

dwelling unit

means a suite operated as a housekeeping unit, used or intended to be used by one or more persons and usually containing cooking, eating, living, sleeping and sanitary facilities.

occupancy

means the use or intended use of a building or part of a building for the shelter or support of persons, animals or property.
