9.31.4.3 — Hot Water Supply

(1) In a dwelling unit with a water distribution system, a hot water supply shall be provided.

(2) A water distribution system supplying hot water to plumbing fixtures shall conform to the requirements in Subsection 7.6.5.

dwelling unit

means a suite operated as a housekeeping unit, used or intended to be used by one or more persons and usually containing cooking, eating, living, sleeping and sanitary facilities.

fixture

means a receptacle, plumbing appliance, apparatus or other device that discharges sewage or clear water waste, and includes a floor drain.

water distribution system

means an assembly of pipes, fittings, valves and appurtenances that conveys potable water to water supply outlets, fixtures, plumbing appliances and devices from the water service pipe or from a point of entry treatment unit located in the building.
